Destroyed Bashime in Elam during his third year and Anshan in his 16th. His aggression against Elam may have been a catalyst for the formation of the sukkalmah dynasty.

First king of the Larsa dynasty. He took over titles of hegemony that for the previous 50 years had been held by Isin; even the entum-priestess of Ur, the daughter of Lipit-Eštar, declared her alliance to him rather than the ruler of Isin. Having achieved control over Ur, he could assure the financially profitable basis of the Gulf trade (Leick, Who's Who in the Ancient Near East, p. 62).
